ALBAWABA - Lebanese were angered after a new meal ad was shared by a restaurant. It caused controversy as many accused the restaurant of messing with traditional food.
The Tawouk burger sandwich by Malak Al Tawouk restaurant was placed for 450,000 LBP (about $5). It is well-known that Tawouk (chicken dish) is very popular in Lebanon.
A discussion was launched on Reddit's Lebanon subreddit by a person named "ozpanaut," causing a huge fuss.
The post had the caption: "We got Tawouk Burger before GTA 6."
Many people debated if trying new recipes using traditional food is a good thing or not. The Tawouk burger sandwich comes includes fries, garlic, coleslaw, cheddar cheese and pickles.
Dozens of comments were made on the post, as one said: "Plot twist: we get Tawouk burgers in gta6," another person on Reddit added: "Why don’t they leave stuff as they are?"
A person commented: "How is that a burger, where is the burger itself? It's just a sandwich."
