'MANASF PIZZA' TAKES INTERNET BY STORM, DIVIDES JORDANIANS
ALBAWABA - Mansaf, Jordan's most traditional dish, has gained a new shape, after Mansaf in cup, a new restaurant is taking the trend by marketing "Mansaf Pizza".
Many Jordanians were angered after a video of "Mansaf Pizza" emerged online promoting a new shape of the national cuisine.
In the ad, a box of "Mansaf Pizza" was seen while a girl was talking in the background saying: "I tried the 1st Mansaf Pizza in Jordan, with the original Jameed (yogurt) from Karak, pine and meat."
The girl then appeared in the footage to enjoy the taste of the "Mansaf Pizza" which price was mentioned to be $5.40.
Reactions on 'Manasf Pizza' trend
Angry comments emerged on social media with many Jordanians were unhappy with the new trend of the Mansaf. A person commented: "I can imagine a humanitarian catastrophe if Mansaf became a pizza!!"
On the other hand, some people were impressed with the "Mansaf Pizza" saying that they can't wait to try it to see if it tastes like the original Mansar or not.
Over a year ago, a new Mansaf trend shocked people after a new restaurant started to serve the original dish inside a cup.
